Lyrics
Throughout the next several months, Darien met secretly through the Mozart Preservation Society and partnered with them to restore the cathedral into a museum and concert hall. The plan was to debut “The Catching Away Suite” to the world right there in the cathedral sanctuary - turned concert hall, exclusively. There would also be tours of the memorial garden and the attic where the discovery took place. Darien would conduct the orchestra and Clarissa would be the featured violinist. The preservation society began holding auditions for a yet to be revealed symphony that would run for an indefinite period of time. During this time the relationship between Darien and Clarissa turned to romance and they were soon wed right there in the church. Once everything was in place, the preservation society issued a press release. The headlines read, “New Mozart Musical Work Discovered in Prague at Old Abandoned Cathedral! Cathedral being renovated into concert hall and will soon reveal this newly discovered work to be conducted by none other than the missing Darien Martini!!” Soon the world was a buzz about the mystery surrounding Darien’s disappearance, the Messenger, and the riddle that lead him on this treasure hunt. Everyone wanted to know who this messenger was and the purpose in leading Darien to this remarkable treasure. Amidst all the speculation about aliens and ghosts, was the world ready for the answer? The most controversy was directed at “The Catching Away Suite” itself. What was it about? When was it composed? Who commissioned Mozart to write it? Why was it tucked away inside a violin and stashed away inside a cross as some sort of time capsule? What was the estimated value of the score? The preservation society remained tight lipped.
As opening night drew near, all scheduled performances were sold out a year in advance as people throughout the world planned their pilgrimage to Prague to take in these exclusive performances. Between rehearsals, Darien would hop aboard a private jet, courtesy of Eagle Air, and fly to various destinations to appear on talk shows. With the theme of “The Catching Away Suite” being the hot topic, a spike in Bible sales was being reported so that people could read for themselves the cryptic passages of scripture alluding to the catching away or so called “rapture” of God’s people. In addition the History Channel was airing a special about it with a panel of theologians and religious leaders weighing in, and Discovery Channel was covering it from an archaeological standpoint. On opening night, all of the chatter went by the wayside as reports of a musical masterwork so powerful, that everyone in attendance was transfixed and transformed as God’s train filled the sanctuary. No one left without falling to their knees, enraptured, before the cross from the attic which was now positioned at center stage.
