Lyrics
Darien sat down in the lone cargo seat on the Eagle Air red eye flight leaving at half past midnight. With it being the only westbound flight that night, he knew very little of his destination or of the One who was sending him on this blind mission. He had never really been a man of faith and it turned his stomach to think of everyone he was about to let down to go on some wild, cryptic goose chase that was supposedly being orchestrated by God. His flight involved crossing borders that had him on a zigzag flight path across Europe. It had to make stops in Frankfurt, Zurich and Salzburg to load and unload parcels, before reaching the final destination of Prague. During one cargo exchange, he turned on his cell phone to find it filled with voice mail and text messages. News reporters were already broadcasting his disappearance, speculating that he may have been abducted along with a hotline for anyone who had any kind of lead as to his whereabouts. In the meantime, the World of Europa committee had called on Sabothian Wolfe to conduct the final performance at the convention. This only raised Darien’s suspicion that Sabothian was somehow behind this.
The next morning when the flight reached Prague, the mystery of his disappearance had made worldwide headlines. Darien never felt more lost. He could only surmise that Prague was indeed where he was supposed to be, but where in Prague? A visit from the cloaked messenger would be welcome about now, as much as he shuddered to think about it. One thought that crossed his mind pertained to the musical heritage that existed in Prague. Mozart composed some of his most famous works here, and his love for Prague is well documented. Since Darien himself, was fascinated and intrigued by Mozart and the mysteries, myths and legends surrounding him, he decided to take a cab to the Estates Theater where Mozart used to perform, to pay homage. He went in and sat down in the theater and wondered what it must have been like to witness The Magic Flute being performed for the first time. Then the exhaustion from the entire week caught up with him and he silently wept until he fell asleep right there in the theater. In his dream he could hear beautiful music. An orchestra performed as the theater suddenly turned into a sanctuary. The conductor, turning to face Darien, suddenly became transformed into the cloaked messenger. “In that town you will find sanctuary.” Darien awoke with a jolt. He surmised that sanctuary meant a sanctuary as in a church or cathedral. He left the Estates Theater and wandered on foot until he found a café. He went inside to get something to eat as the wind howled behind him.
